Hand Me The Hammer

Today was not a good computer day. First of all, my printer went on strike. I tried restarting it several times, restarting the computer a couple of times, and it still won’t print. That means I have to spend time going through the troubleshooting checklist. My AOL software injured itself somehow, forcing me to reinstall it, which killed an hour or so. All the computer restarts meant I had to close all the programs I was working on, also.

I also discovered there are multiple copies of my travel journals and, in order to delete the unnecessary ones, I have to determine which is the latest version of each. What a drag! With a typewriter, all you had to do was change the ribbon once in a while.

I know, I know I’m an ingrate. I realize the many advantages of computers; I just don’t remember them very well on days like today.

So, hand me a hammer. I need to tap a little sense into this printer.
