Brain FoodTonight I struggled for over an hour to do a task I’ve done many times before--that is, attach newly-scanned photos to emails. Finally, Al invited me to share stuffed peppers he had taken from the freezer and heated. I guess my brain needed fuel. After a stuffed pepper and a dish of black walnut ice cream, I went back to work and figured out how to do it immediately. The pictures probably need a lot of tweaking, but at least they’re on their way. The recipients can tweak them, if they know how. That struggle should motivate me to spend more time learning how to use the great features on my computer that I ignore most of the time. I want to send a few travel snapshots with the year-end holiday letter, so I need to hone my skills, if any. We made reservations today for a Mexican cruise the end of January. We will drive to San Francisco and board the Dawn Princess there, cruise for ten days and return to San Francisco. Princess Cruises made us an offer we couldn’t refuse. Paying motel rates to ride a luxury cruise ship into the sun was too tempting to pass up.
With the cruise to anticipate, we should make it through any kind of weather the rest of the winter.
