Rainy Day RuminationsToday I managed to get the travel journal of our California trip posted to the travel section of the website. It’s been so long since I did one of those, I’d forgotten how. When it wouldn’t come up in travel, I went to a previous posting, brought up the edit page and followed that format. It worked. I was happy not to have to bother my webmaster/son, who is about as busy the end of this year as the department stores are--maybe even more rushed. After ranting about all the screaming on TV shows, I watched part of Oprah today, with the mute button on. With closed captioning, you can follow the dialogue pretty well, without having to deal with other noise. This show was about screaming children. Super Nanny helped the parents learn to cope with them and teach them better habits. It occurred to me to wonder if those kids watch all the adult audiences screaming on television, who are, in some cases, then rewarded with gifts. Hmmmm? I’m feeling better today than yesterday, perhaps a result of my morning visit to the chiropractor. My stomach still does not receive real food well, but applesauce and ice cream go down smoothly. I’m sleeping like a baby, or more like a toddler actually, because I sleep eight or nine hours at night and take a nap in the daytime.
I walked the couple of blocks to the mailbox in the rain, dodging puddles. It certainly makes me appreciate being inside and having heat and light.
