A Work and Play DayToday was a mixed bag of pleasant memories and the more painful. I edited memoir articles and stories. Some were written years ago, some months ago, and a few more recently. It is easier to be objective and find errors and rough spots when the words have been recorded for a while. More work needs to be done before any of these stories are ready for publication. Later, I got on the Princess Cruises website and made advance reservations for several shore excursions on our upcoming cruise. Doing it ahead of time saves either of us from having to stand in line on the ship and spend time trying to communicate with crew members for whom English may be a second, third, or even less familiar language. Also, getting in ahead of time means we are less likely to be disappointed that a particular side trip will already be fully booked and not available.
Tonight we will try out our new playing cards. Maybe they’ll change my luck, so I can catch up with Al’s many wins.
