End of the HarvestAl brought in the last items from our little garden this morning. One cucumber looks like a fig. There are two tiny yellow squash, and more green tomatoes than we need. I promised him fried green tomatoes, so we can use some of them for that. I don’t like fried green tomatoes, but I hate to waste food, and fortunately he likes them He is trying to get a little sleep before he goes back over to spend the night with his mother again. He did get some sleep during the night last night while he was there. His sister stays with her during the day. Various grandchildren help out from time to time. I hope to get some writing done later today. My energy level is still poor, but I did buy replacements for herbal products I’d run out of and am taking them again. It will be interesting to see if they make a difference. We keep hoping the grass will dry enough to cut before winter sets in with a vengeance. There’s not much wind or sun today, so far. < < back |
