Wonders Without End

I have hopes that I will get out of vacation mode one of these days and become ambitious enough to get back to writing. Being sick for a while can really start lazy bad habits. I’m reading a long novel that was an Oprah Winfrey selection some time ago. I don’t think I’ll ever get around to writing a novel, but who knows? Memoirs could be the stuff a novel’s made of.

This morning a lot of robins and other birds were hanging around outside my office window feasting on a berry bush. All day I’ve had Pete’s Pond in Africa up on my computer so, even if I’m not watching, I can hear the birds and other animals in the background. It’s almost like living next door to the zoo.

Even with all the reading I did as a youngster, including Brave New World and 1984, I never imagined the lengths that technology would take us in my lifetime. I can spend the day with the sights and sounds of Africa or other places of my choice any time the electricity is working and my computer is on line.

I’m sure there are many more wonders available I haven’t discovered yet.  Lead me to them.
