Olympic Distractions

In spite of the fact that I still can’t breathe through my nose, my muse returned today and allowed me to get some writing done. I’ve added another travel page to my website and have one more nearly ready to go.

My favorite spectator sports are figure skating and ballroom dancing. Tonight is ice dancing night at the Olympics. If this blog entry seems disjointed it will be because my computer is at one end of the house and our television is at the other. I’m getting my exercise for today and tomorrow running up and down the hall. Olympic ice dancers are the ultimate entertainment for me.

Sonja Henie would be amazed to see what’s being done on ice skates these days. As a girl, I thought she was pretty amazing. She and Esther Williams were my favorite movie stars. Those of you who don’t recognize their names can Google them. There are numerous websites about those two.

I’m going to give up wearing out the carpet between here and the television and park myself in front of it, wrapped in a heavy afghan. Our cold snap hasn’t abated much.
