Last Minute NotesSince I’m writing this at nearly midnight, it will post on Friday, February 24th. I’ll be out of town from Friday afternoon until sometime Sunday, so there won’t be a blog posted on Saturday. Today I gifted myself with a new state-of-the-art vacuum cleaner. When you get to be nearly 77 years old, it doesn’t take a lot to please you. I vacuumed carpets over the entire house and enjoyed every minute of it. When I have more time next week, I’ll go to work on the upholstered furniture and the mattresses. My new Bissell is light and efficient, and should provide some allergy control with its HEPA filter and dust cup, as opposed to dusty paper bags. Now I’m trying to find a home for my old vacuum. If none of our youngsters want it, Goodwill will get it. Even though AOL let the women’s long program ice skating results slip onto my screen earlier today, I watched the last few skaters and enjoyed the performances. Earlier, I watched some of the Dancing with the Stars numbers while we were playing cards, so I didn’t really get a good view of the dancers. I hope to be able to watch the finals Sunday night.
I’m about half packed for the weekend trip to Ocean Park. I’ve got the important things ready: my laptop, my books, etc. My clothes I’ll toss in the bag tomorrow.
