So Tired

(Isn’t that the name of a song?)

Fatigue is overwhelming me tonight. I don’t know if it’s because I’ve just fought off a virus and a subsequent infection, or if the prospect of tackling all the work that surrounds me is exhausting. Everywhere I look there are stacks of writing that need revising, or filing sliding out of trays, or mail that needs to be dealt with, a bank statement to reconcile, etc.

Whenever I complain about being tired, Al suggests, “It’s all those birthdays that wore you out.” I’m only four months ahead of him, so we’ve had pretty close to the same number of those dates.

The nap after getting back from critique group didn’t do much for me. Tomorrow Al plans to be gone, so I’ll tackle the writing revisions. The other stuff will get done eventually. It usually does.

Learning new or previously unused software is so time consuming that I always put it off until I’m desperate to use it. Such is the story with my picture editing software. I have now located it--mastering it may take months

Note to any writers reading this blog. A list of writing contests now appears on the home page of my website in the lower left-hand corner. These are all contests that charge fees and, in most cases, offer higher prizes. The originating website, OnceWritten.com has information available about non-fee contests also, I believe.
