Where’s the Twelve-Step Program for Computer Addiction

At last, a productive day. With the aid of our computer guru, who got Al’s video equipment up and running, we were able to learn how to view videos from his older model camera on our TV. Also, with our guru’s aid, I did more desktop cleaning on both computers and downloaded two picture editing software programs on both computers. I tried out Picasa and had good luck lightening a picture and sending copies in emails.

Next I need to delete a multitude of mediocre pictures from this computer and organize the remaining ones so they are more accessible.

Can you imagine this computer expert who works, lives, eats and breathes computers actually suggested that he’s considered going back to living without computers? What would we do with all our spare time? I might get a couple of inches of dust rearranged here and there and ? (I don’t want to contemplate more complicated cleaning chores.)

There are few writers around today who would be willing to give up internet research and the convenience of word processor editing. I certainly wouldn’t.
