Saturday Afternoon Visit

We spent a delightful several hours this afternoon with Al’s younger son, his son’s two daughters and one son-in-law, and last, but far from least, Al’s great grandson, now nearly nine months old. Kyran is a doll; teething now, but cheerful most of the time. He chatters away and says several recognizable words. The three grandchildren (Kyran’s parents and aunt) are all in college, and we appreciate their spending part of the first weekend of spring break with us. They were on a whirlwind one-day visit to Al’s sister in Molalla, to us in Tigard, and to Al’s daughter.

I’m drooping a bit at this point, but it was a fun time. Al’s older son had been here for a while when they arrived and left before they did to drive back to his job site in Madras. We had a good visit with him, also. He took video on our digital camera and transferred it, as well as some still pictures, to Al’s computer.

We couldn’t persuade them to have dinner with us, but Mrs. Smith’s blueberry pie went over well, especially ala mode.

And now I think I shall ready my tired head for bed and let the rest of me follow.
