A Satisfying Day

Today was a satisfactory day. I actually got a few things done. I cleaned my triple closet in the bedroom, packed six or eight boxes, touched up the white paint on the kitchen cabinet doors and watched a couple of travel films on public broadcasting. While cleaning the closet, I found a large transparent plastic zipper bag and loaded it for our coming trip. If a security guard decides to search my luggage, it’ll be easier that way. I took my folding travel scissors out because they have sharp points and I don’t want to lose them.

I plan to do my nails while I watch Cold Case. I’m hooked on that show and a couple of other detective type programs. I haven’t found a sitcom worth wasting electricity on yet.

We are making agonizing decisions about what to get rid of before we move. Once we’ve tossed the stuff, I’m sure there will be very little that we miss. I know there are hundreds of things around here I never use. They’re just taking up space.

We drove through the park this afternoon to see how many other places are for sale. We were pleased to note there are only about half a dozen. One we know is less expensive than ours, for obvious reasons, several are more expensive, and a couple are for sale by owner, with sale prices unknown. Spring is a good time to sell when everything is in bloom. We’ll hope it doesn’t take too long.
