A Little Excitement

We had a little excitement around here today. Our travel agent called to tell us she’d obtained a free upgrade for us to a balcony stateroom on a higher deck than our original cabin. That will definitely make the cruise more enjoyable.

Then, about 7:00 p.m. when Al was playing chess with our neighbor, Dave, the doorbell rang. A couple wanted to walk through the house. They have an aunt who lives around the corner from us, so they might be interested in buying. They want to downsize from their ranch house in Tigard because she’s a travel agent and they like to travel. She liked the bedroom/office arrangement. They may call the realtor, or not. We’ll have to wait and see.

After plodding through the story of my first marriage for the memoirs earlier this week, I moved on to the second marriage yesterday. I completed a first draft today, which I’ll take to writing class for a critique tomorrow.

This was a “no-nap” day and I’m starting to feel it. However, I have to stay awake until 10:00 for Boston Legal, one of the few television shows I enjoy.
