Realty or Reality Report

Our computer guru was here today bright and early around 8:00 a.m. until mid afternoon. In addition to installing more memory for me, setting up a genealogy blog for Al, and helping me with my flash drive, he got both of our cameras set up for our trip.

We had a fun, but too-short visit with Al’s sister during the morning, while fielding phone calls. We had two showings of the house in the afternoon and a discussion with our realtor about the offer we received yesterday. We made a counter offer, which our prospective buyers were not too happy with, but they complained to our realtor and not to us. I think we will give in on our request for additional earnest money, since they are willing to withdraw the requirement for a contingency and an inspection at our expense.

I was able to sit outside reading and relaxing for about an hour while the house showings were going on and Al was working with Travis on the computer. I haven’t heard whether the forecast for tomorrow is still 90 or above. I hope not, but we ran our air conditioning for a while this afternoon and it seems to be working well. If we monitor and don’t let it get too hot in here before we turn it on, we should be able to keep a comfortable temperature.

To my delight, I am discovering that the negotiations for selling this place and trying to find a new place to live, are not creating a lot of stress for me. Somehow, I believe it will all work out. If not, friends and relatives be warned, we may move in with you.
