Jet LaaaagggggToday it seems as if I have brief periods of limited energy between long periods of stupor and sleep. I write a little bit, pack a little bit, do a smidge of laundry, cook as little as possible and it even seems to require too much energy to chew food. I’ve not experienced this degree of jet lag before. It may have more to do with the level of anger that arose over some of the situations we were thrown into by poor organization and management of cruise line personnel. Those stories will be posted on my website in a couple of weeks. I’m still working on them. I certainly hope my usual sleep habits and energy and enthusiasm return in time to get packed to move. I did do a little sorting and packing today. Fortuitously, the park is holding a benefit yard sale this month. The timing is perfect for us. I packed some glassware to donate today, and pulled a few books out of my huge collection. Al also set aside some folding lawn chairs and a desk for the sale. The timing of my reduced energy level is lousy. I’m at the point where I look at what needs to be done before we move and shriek, “Impossible!” I know it is possible, I’ve been there and done that, but every time I’m a bit older. When is old too old? Don’t tell me. That was a rhetorical question. I look out the window and see hundreds of flowers that need deadheading, thousands of weeds, shrubs grown wild, etc. The weather was perfect for those tasks today, but I wasn’t equipped for them.
Since I have no cheese to go with all this whine, I guess I’d better call it off. Tomorrow has to be a better day.
