Travel Log Update

I’ve been beating my stone head against a wall today, trying to remember how to put pictures up on my website. No luck. However, I did get my first travel log posted. I’m still editing the rest and will possibly get some more of them up tonight or tomorrow.

This morning I thought I might use Freecycle.com to give away our washer, dryer and lawn mower that we will no longer need. I decided it’s harder to post to that site than to put stuff up on Ebay to sell. So I typed up a sign and posted it on the bulletin board here in the park clubhouse. If that doesn’t get any action, I may try Freecycle again. If we give them away, we can insist that the recipients haul them off. That saves enough hassle to make up for the few dollars a sale might bring.

There isn’t much more packing we can do until the last minute and we aren’t even sure when the last minute will be at this point. We plan to be moved by the end of the day on July 10th, unless we can get into our new place sooner than the 8th, which is the plan now.

The walls will be freshly painted and the carpet cleaned. The exterior of the building is brick. We didn’t check to see how many windows open. There are a lot of things we didn’t remember when we had the chance to walk through. There is no air conditioning, but if necessary, we can install a room air conditioner. If all else fails, I can spend hot days in one of the pools.
