Cloud Pictures

Having inadvertently endured several weeks of dial-up internet service, I find myself with long waits for downloads or uploads or just getting on line. Fortunately, there is entertainment out my window. It’s been years since I spent time identifying the pictures that cloud formations make--tenuous as sand castles.

This morning there was a knit winter hat with a tassel on top, which soon disappeared. My imagination and interest are much less than in younger years so I didn’t find other images, but went back to reading email.

Later in the day I sat on our deck watching for someone to find our place who’s not been here before. My attention switched from watching the clouds and trees and watching for her car and trying to finish a very long Navy novel.

Today produced more exhaustion than usual. Al was loading for his trip to Texas and, because he never wants any help, I tried to stay out of his way. He finally got on the road in early evening. He probably will quit driving after an hour or two to rest and get an early start tomorrow. I ‘ll turn in early to be able to start at all in the morning
