Ramblings

At the end of another busy day, I’m tired. The good news is I’ll sleep well. The bad news is I probably won’t get anything else done tonight. But I feel fairly well organized to line up chores for my son to help me with in the morning. If I can just remember all the little things I’ve had in mind. None of them should take very long, but added together, they might be too much. I wrote down the most important ones, the rest can probably wait.

I went to a matchmaking site on line today to see what’s going on now and whether I should update my book and try to sell it. There are either some excellent liars on there or some very interesting people. I don’t know whether I’m up to trying to write an addendum to be distributed with copies of the book and then beat the bushes to sell the package. Some writers tell of selling books out of the trunks of their cars; I’ve thought of getting on a cross-country train and peddling books while I see the country, but I’m chicken.

If I ever get totally unpacked and settled, I’ll give it some more thought. Meanwhile, I’ll check out other matchmaking sites that could be added and learn which ones have fallen by the wayside in the last couple of years. I also need to get back to work on the memoirs. No rest for the wicked, or even the slightly naughty.
