Another Chore Day

While I was swimming tonight, I told myself I’d look at the logbook in the dressing room where we sign in and out each time. I wanted to see how many days a week I’ve been averaging there. I’m gradually building up the time I spend exercising and swimming in the pool, from 15 or 20 minutes at first, to 40 minutes this evening. After the time in the pool, I usually spend 5 or 10 minutes in the spa with the jets running on my feet. Of course, I forgot to check it out by the time I left.

Somehow I thought all this diligence would build up my stamina but, alas, I fear my stamina went south with my “get up and go.” There are still many chores to be done around here to establish some kind of order and organization. I plugged away at them today, between naps, and my son helped me out for several hours. We got furniture moved around, but still couldn’t get the DSL Broadband operational even with the new modem. Obviously there is some problem that my service provider can’t seem to get a handle on.

We tried out a new gizmo--a picture hanger called a Hercules hook. No tools are required to poke the sharp end into the wall, twist it around, push all of the hanger except the little hook into the wall, then hang whatever picture or shelf you wish on the hook. They will reportedly hold up to 150 pounds. The key words here are “up to.” I think they’re pretty slick and I’m anxious to get more pictures hung. Maybe if someone at the company who supplies these reads this free plug, they’ll send me some more.

Meanwhile, it’s time for my overnight nap
