A Musical Day

We had a pleasant, somewhat musical day. In late morning we went down to Town Hall to hear the Al Kader Shrine Dance Band play oldies (mostly Glenn Miller type) for an hour. Before they started, we toured the arts and crafts fair where I bought a hanging dishtowel and admired many other things I neither need nor want .At the end of that hour of music, we went back to the apartment where we could hear the rock violinist and his backup group through the partly open balcony door.

The jazz group that followed the rock violinist was loud and not very enjoyable to us, so we closed the doors. In late afternoon, we went down to hear the Bobby Torres Ensemble and eat some of the food that was offered for sale. We only stayed until we finished eating, then went back up where we could hear that band even with the doors and windows closed. They had a Latin beat, but were over-amplified for our taste. They managed to drown out their trio of vocalists, also.

This evening I had a good swim and a trip through the hot tub to finish off the day. Now I’ll try to keep my eyes open while I finish reading email.
