Under the WeatherI’m a little under the weather tonight, but what great weather to be under. I think we will get out in it tomorrow and enjoy the last lingering rays of sun. After about nine or ten hours sleep last night and a long nap this afternoon, another good night’s rest should help a lot. There will be plenty of time for straightening closets, hanging pictures, etc. when the rains come. We’ve been enjoying some of the last watermelons of the season and they are just as good as the first ones, if not better. The little, round, seedless ones are so sweet and have so little rind, they are a real treat.
I’m still winding my way through Jean Auel’s Shelters of Stone. Maybe I can read another chunk of it tomorrow while lounging in the shade. I’m generally way behind on her books. The hard copies are too heavy to read in bed, so I have to wait for the paperbacks. I’m just now getting around to this one.
