Play vs. Work

Another beautiful day in a great corner of the world. We spent the afternoon outdoors, swam and lounged and had a relaxing time. We had a Chinese combination lunch and dinner on the way home. Good weather really brings out traffic on nearby highways, even on a weekday.

We had a quiet evening reading and watching TV. I hope that Dancing with the Stars doesn’t run all season for two nights in a row. I have a hard time dragging myself away from the TV when the dancers are cavorting around. I should be writing instead

My two favorite activities to watch on TV are figure skating and ballroom dancing. Now that my feet are failing me, I guess there’s a vicarious joy in watching others use their feet so skillfully and artistically. Their costumes are colorful and the routines captivating.

Tomorrow I’ll try to get back into a work routine. Maybe.
