Catch 22, King City Style

Well, I had a housekeeper all lined up until she realized that we live in the city limits of King City and she doesn’t have a KC business license. She says they charge about four times as much as any other nearby town, and, of course, King City is so small it’s not worth getting a license. Since we also live a block from the police station, I guess we need to consider the risk to a prospective service provider. So, I need to find an individual who is not a business that requires a license. Someone who doesn’t have a vehicle that identifies the purpose of their visit to a client’s house would be best, I guess.

Had a couple of good swims today and did my water arthritis exercises. Also napped in the shade outdoors and read awhile. A lazy summer-type day and it’s almost October. Unbelievable!

We went to the Beaverton Social Security office this morning and were served by a polite, efficient young man with a European accent. I was impressed with the smooth operation of their system. The waiting room was full of people, but our wait was not very long.

Tomorrow I have a couple of errands to take care of and then I hope to spend most of the day writing. Floyd is planning to play golf, then go to work to do the month-end books
