Daily Report-Friday

I had lunch with a good friend from Molalla today at Wu’s Open Kitchen just across the highway from where I live. We visited for a bit before we left for lunch and then chatted over our delicious Chinese dishes. Tonight I added some water chestnuts and sprouts to my leftovers and Floyd and I had them for dinner, along with a piece of chicken. We still couldn’t eat it all.

This afternoon I got my flu shot, finally. Then I enriched Oil Can Henry’s coffers with a “rain package” that included the needed oil change and wiper blades, as well as a coating for the windshield that allegedly sheds rain. We shall see.

This evening we watched an OPB broadcast about “Clean” election laws. Arizona has enacted such a law and California has an initiative on the ballot to follow suit. I’m disappointed that my State of Oregon, that used to be in the forefront on progressive matters, doesn’t seem to be doing anything like that.

The flu shot may be causing a mild reaction, or my arthritis just may be acting up more than usual. Hard to tell. But I’m ready for bed.
