Rainy, Windy Saturday

In spite of a long nap in the afternoon, today was fairly productive. I sorted stacks of paperwork, filed most of it, threw some away, and prioritized the “to do” stack. Some laundry, and some shopping took up several hours.

I almost forgot the most satisfying job I did--pulling clothes out of my closet into a tall pile to take to Goodwill. Now I have lots of empty hangars and a bit more closet space. If I continue to lose weight, I’ll have a good excuse to buy new clothes and get rid of even more old ones.

One little writing job, a poem that I’m tweaking, took a bit of time. I wrote it on a cruise and found it scribbled on a Norwegian Cruise Lines letterhead. I guess I’ll take it to my critique group Tuesday.

Tomorrow afternoon we’ll meet Floyd’s daughter and family at her church and join them for a spaghetti dinner. I’ll probably try to swim in the morning, since I didn’t make it over there tonight.

We are keeping warm in this nasty weather. I think we get the benefit of heat from the apartment below, since it’s hard to keep the thermostats low enough at times.
