Thanks to the World Wide WebFinally today, I had some extra time to research digital cameras. I could just go out and buy one my relatives have recommended, but I think whatever one I buy will be a close buddy for a long time. So, I want it to be the best I can get for my bucks. And, as often happens, the web’s glut of information is overwhelming. However, I think I’ve narrowed down the field to two or three possibilities within my price range. As one who bandies about the word “muse” as often as I do, it would seem my knowledge of the Muses might be better than average. Not so, but once again the good old web comes to my rescue. Three or four of the nine Muses were actually believed to have some control over poetry--each concerned with a different type of poetry. At any rate, whichever muse might deign to reign over my efforts at verse had been sleeping on the job for the last couple of years. But she seems to be waking slowly these days and favoring me with an inspiration now and then. I must speak kindly of her and encourage her to continue. This is, after all, the Thanksgiving season.
It’s hard for me to remember the days before “the web” was my major source of research information. It settles a lot of disputes, and helps fill a lot of holes in this old brain where words have fallen out. And I will be eternally grateful for that assistance.
