Sing Along

We continue to get wonderful free entertainment in our senior community. This afternoon, we heard the Way Off Broadway Singers. They are fourteen retired performers, or should I say semi-retired because they’re still performing. Three of them have been in the group for the entire seventeen years of its existence. The show was 90 minutes of music familiar to all the oldsters in the audience. We were encouraged to sing along with them on the songs we knew and many of us did.

After the show, we had a quiet dinner at Home Town Buffet. The trade-off for the quiet was that there weren’t that many people to watch. Usually, the people watching there is quite good.

My Christmas letters are ready to mail, and I’m working on the cards. I skipped swimming tonight to spend the time on that task. The pool was pretty cool last night and I doubt that they work on it much on Sunday, so tomorrow night it may be warmer.

Decorating our little Christmas tree is turning into a long, dragged-out affair. Tonight, as I poured water into the well while Floyd checked to see how much there was, he said, “This is like having a baby.” Pretty good memory for his age.
