Just Another Day

Today we still had patches and strips of snow around, but it should be washed off by tomorrow morning’s predicted rain, if it doesn’t melt overnight. It wasn’t a very exciting or productive day today. I did do a little cleaning here and there, since we’re expecting company tomorrow, but not much. Our cleaning gal is due on Tuesday, and I don’t want to leave her nothing to do.

I’m beginning to get acquainted with a few interesting women who swim when I do, even though I don’t always get there at the same time every day.

Tonight I watched the movie Seabiscuit, again. It was definitely worth a second look. I watched it a couple of years ago on a cruise and was prompted to read the book after that. It’s a good story.

My hair has been very slow to turn gray, but it’s finally getting there, much to my delight. I thought it might not ever happen, since my mother had very little gray in her hair when she died at age 85. My father was gray in his 70’s, so I must have inherited some of this from him. I’m glad I didn’t inherit his tendency to baldness; I think he passed that on to my son.

It’s time to get some rest. My nap has worn off, so it’s off to bed.
