Sunday Summary

A quiet Sunday spent reading the paper, doing my swim/exercise bit and watching The Titanic for the first time. I’m not usually into disaster movies and this isn’t a particularly good time to watch a ship sink, but it is a good movie.

I’ve been noticing the types of exercises that various pool patrons favor and decided to add a couple to my repertoire, borrowing them from the gals who have the best shapes. There are some who stand around and jump up and down in the pool or walk around a while and show little improvement. I’ll let you know if I see any results from my added efforts.

Most of the paperwork for the trip is in place and copies have been made of the important ones. Now I just need to finish deciding what, among the things I want to take, will fit in one carry-on bag and get them in it. I bought a new one that’s a better shape for the under-the-seat or up-on-the-shelf than the duffle bag style I’ve been using. It got stuck on a plane shelf on one trip and caused a lot of hassle and it never did fit under a seat The new one is purple, so should be fairly easy to spot on a luggage carousel, although I’m told there are a lot of colored suitcases these days.

After six months in this new residence, I’m beginning to get acquainted--at least with other aquatic fans.

Several sunny days have helped our heaters so much that I’ve had to keep the thermostats turned down. The wind has kept the outdoor temperatures down, but it’s comfortable inside.
