Senior News

So, is there a Guinness record for the shortest retirement? Floyd might qualify. He was offered a project too tempting to refuse and he’s off to the daily grind again (or more like the half-daily grind).

I probably put in half days around here, most days anyway, with chores that may or may not need to be done. I’m dreading some upcoming large projects: My webmaster will be moving my website sometime in the next two months and I will have to learn new editing techniques. Sometime soon, I must get a new computer and will have to clean out the old one and transfer what I need. I’m putting that off until any major glitches in Vista have been discovered and patched up. This laptop is not as obsolete as the desktop I’ll be replacing, so I can keep using it longer. However, since it operates on Windows XP, it will be passe’ soon.

My doctor gave me lots of good news yesterday and observed that I’m a really young 77, more like 60. Wow! I may have to send her a Christmas present. However, every time the weather changes (very often in these parts) I feel more like 90. That’s the bad news.

The glitch in my travel log pages on the website has been repaired. Now the “continued” link will actually take you to the continuation of the particular article you’re reading. The pictures still seem to have problems. More on that later.
