Good Fellowship and Exciting News

We had a wonderful afternoon with all my kids (daughter and son-in-law, son and daughter-in-law) my cousin and his wife, and Al’s sister and husband. I am very tired, but happy. Al and Kurt and Carrie helped in the kitchen to make it easier for me.

We announced the exciting news that we will be leaving on a cruise on December 15th. We will fly to Cape Town, South Africa, where we will board a Princess Lines ship and leave there on Dec. 17th. We will cruise to Santiago, Chile, with about five stops on the way. We will pass Antarctica, a life long ambition of Al’s. He would prefer to set foot on it, but this cruise is such a good bargain, we couldn’t resist. He has seen all the other continents, so this will round out his travels. We arrive in Santiago on Jan. 10th and will fly back to Portland from there.

Since twelve days of the cruise will be at sea, I hope to get some writing done. I may not be able to post to my blog at all, or at least maybe only a few times, depending on the cost of using the internet on the ship.
