First Day at Sea - Sunday

Sunday we spent most of the day eating and sleeping.  We managed to orient ourselves around the ship somewhat. We found the library, where I got a book. Floyd had brought one with him. I meant to get one at the airport, but should have realized the shops would be closed when we arrived at 10:30 p.m.

I intended to swim while Floyd was at the Super Bowl celebration, but the pool was closed by the time I got there, so I could only use the hot tub. The hot tubs on this ship are not designed for the elderly, as is the one where we live. They are difficult to move around in, not level on the bottom, and challenge your balance on a moving vessel. But, we persevere. The effect is worth the effort.

We didn’t get around to reading all the activities’ schedule, so missed out on the Sunday night show, but I doubt if we could have stayed awake anyway. Sleep was the first priority all day and night.

As I write this in our stateroom on Tuesday, I’m being serenaded by a small dog’s yapping. He has barked whenever he’s left alone in the room next door. If he is a service dog, I won’t complain, but I’d like to find out. Since the dog is a Chihuahua, it seems unlikely. Yesterday afternoon he made a nap impossible for me. Floyd doesn’t hear quite as well as I do, and was able to sleep
