On the Monday morning bus tour of Rotterdam, a group of us from the Golden Princess cruise ship saw spectacular types of architecture. High-rise glass office buildings in the downtown area contrasted with ornate stone structures.

First Night Aboard - August 20, 2005

After boarding Golden Princess, we found our cabin, larger than any we’ve had before and with a balcony. We unpacked, and thought about some lunch. We went up one deck to the buffet with its lavish spread of salads, numerous entrees, fruit and vegetables, and last but not least, fabulous desserts.

Tripping Through London August 2005

After the short flight from Portland to Chicago, the mad dash across O’Hare Airport, and the longer flight to Heathrow, Al and I were exhausted. Alaska Cruise

On May 14, 2005, we drove to Seattle and parked at Pier 30 where we boarded the Diamond Princess, after standing in line for about an hour and a half. We learned later from other passengers that Princess Lines has just recently started using port facilities in Seattle. Obviously, the terminal arrangement has not been perfected.

May 2004 Trip

Sunday, May 9, 2004 we left Portland to drive to Houston where a cruise ship would be docking the following Saturday for a “Texaribbean Cruise.” (Norwegian Cruise Lines name for the four-port, seven-day cruise.)
