Roseau, Dominica--Friday

We docked in Roseau at approximately 6:30 a.m. Since Floyd’s cold persists and I had a bad night with digestive problems, we slept in. We hadn’t planned to take a shore excursion anyway, and decided not to go ashore. We could see a large part of the town from the ship, so I took a number of pictures.

Saturday in St. Thomas

Docked in St. Thomas would be more accurate. We are staying on board the ship. We arose early for the immigration inspection, so we both came back to the cabin a while after breakfast for naps. Sunday at Sea

After breakfast, Floyd came back to the cabin to rest and I began tending to last minute details. I read and sent email, hit the onboard shops for another look, and filled out the first of numerous forms connected with disembarkation. Half Moon Cay - Bahamas

We awoke as the ship dropped anchor off Half Moon Cay, an island owned by Holland American Cruise Lines, in the beauteous Bahamas. During breakfast, we talked with a passenger from Canada, a retired schoolteacher, who referees volleyball to supplement his income.
